We are almost finishing November. On the 27th we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, on the 28th Black Friday wipes out the shops… but what is celebrated on the 30th of November?
It’s St. Andrew’s Day, the patron saint of Scotland. Although it’s not a worldwide tradition, I think it’s a great cultural topic to explore in an English class—especially if you and your students are interested in Scotland.
